Tropic Bracelet
The History of the Tropic Bracelet
The tropic strap was born with the advent of professional diving watches. While this underwater sport was enjoying its heyday, three icons were born in 1953: the Rolex Submariner, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, and the Zodiac Sea Wolf. But a problem arose: a strap was needed that was resistant to the salinity of the water and, above all, adaptable over a diving suit sleeve. While NATO was chosen by the military, civilians opted for the tropic strap!

Vulcanized Rubber
While silicone's elasticity and strength are limited, this material literally attracts dust. For vulcanized FKM rubber, it's quite the opposite. It's dust-proof, UV-resistant, and anti-allergic. In addition, this fluorinated synthetic rubber offers the best resistance to aggressive fluids and high temperatures (-25° to +250°). This is why it's used for aeronautical seals. In addition to its immense strength, it also provides great flexibility for optimal comfort. It's a key material for watch straps!

Iconic style
With its distinctive style, the Tropic strap has equipped the most iconic divers. This strap is full of details: a fitted cut, a thin flat tip, a serrated edge replacing traditional stitching, a surface embossed with a cross-pattern reminiscent of carbon fiber, then a reverse studded with pyramidal patterns allowing water to flow through the perforations. It is a timeless strap, a symbol of elegance and sportiness for more than half a century. The ideal setting to dress up sports watches, but also perfectly suited to elegant watches!

Quick Change
Flash springs, quick springs, lug springs, or presto springs—they go by many names. It's no coincidence that the biggest brands have adopted them: quick springs allow you to change your strap in the blink of an eye. Fitting between the lugs is as simple as it is quick, with no additional tools required, just pressing the lug to compress the spring. In addition to their ease of use, they allow you to avoid scratches caused by the fork of an installation/removal tool. It's the ideal system for those who like to change their watch straps regularly!

The advantage of wearing tropics
Optimal Comfort
By its very nature, rubber offers unparalleled comfort compared to steel, leather, or silicone. Regardless of the outside temperature or weather conditions, the tropic strap is optimal, even during your travels to hot and humid destinations. Furthermore, its durability helps preserve your watch's original strap. And while folding clasps can cause discomfort on the back of the wrist, mounting it on a pin buckle clasp ensures not only an ideal fit, but also optimal comfort.
