History of the Panerai Luminor

The Panerai Luminor, created in the 1950s, was developed for Italian Navy divers, with particular attention to underwater readability thanks to its luminescent "Luminor" material. Its distinctive design includes a robust case and the famous crown-protecting bridge, ensuring optimal water resistance. Initially reserved for the military, it was marketed to the general public from 1993, quickly becoming an icon of the watchmaking world. The Luminor is distinguished by its unique combination of functionality, military design, and sophistication, making it a sought-after watch for lovers of underwater adventures and contemporary style.

Woolen thread

HAND SEWN

All Panerai Luminor straps are hand-sewn with a saddle stitch, performed by skilled leather craftsmen. Unlike machine stitching, this stitch is more durable thanks to two independent threads that form a knot at each stitch. A 0.35 mm thick linen thread is used to create a fine, natural braid, ensuring both strength and elegance, in perfect harmony with the robust character of the Panerai Luminor.

More sustainable

SEALED EDGES

The Panerai Luminor straps are designed for optimal durability thanks to sealed edges. The raw edges are first sanded and then coated with several layers of special paint. After the first layer has dried, the edges are sanded again before another coat of paint is applied. This process is repeated until a smooth and uniform finish is achieved, ensuring the strap's longevity and a refined appearance that perfectly complements the Panerai Luminor.

Zermatt leather lining

Hypoallergenic

The Panerai Luminor straps are lined with Zermatt leather from the Haas tannery, specially designed for use as a lining material. This leather, soft to the touch, ensures optimal comfort even after several hours of wear. It is water and sweat resistant, making it particularly suitable for hot and humid climates, such as Singapore, for example, guaranteeing a long lifespan and a pleasant wearing experience for Panerai Luminor users.

The Panerai style

Pre-v loop

The Panerai Luminor straps are equipped with a 316L stainless steel buckle, engraved and with the famous Pre-V style. With its brushed silver finish, this sleek buckle design combines strength and durability, adding to the strap a touch that perfectly matches Panerai watches, not to mention the guarantee of optimal resistance for everyday use as well as for your extra-urban adventures.
