They're from Nantes, we're from Bordeaux. We're the same age and share a shared passion that changed our lives. A closeness like few others in this profession that has materialized into friendship. And even though we love Switzerland, where we first met, it was in the city of the Port of the Moon that we truly bonded. Playing the French card therefore had a symbolism like no other. Sleek & Striking
It all started with the C-04 Iris collection, a dial finish with a remarkable texture. Since Akrone loves to play with backgrounds, this was our starting point: to create a unique finish with a little twist that would mark a first for this elegant watch inspired by the 60s and 70s. Refined, but not over the top, and above all, with a nod to the models that caught our attention. Texture, color, a smoked finish, a retro railway, and above all, a special date. Not one you want to hide, but one that deserves a central place with a prominent, satin-finished eyelet.
Fine & Voluptuous
This is the ultimate city watch. Chic and dressy, the C-04 stands out with its compact size, satin finish, and domed glass, recreating the elegance of mid-century timepieces. A time when men presented themselves as perfect gentlemen. On the menu: a 38mm case with short, Bauhaus-style lugs, a perfect blend of simplicity and aesthetics. All with a remarkable finesse that blends perfectly with its "feather" hands inspired by post-war timepieces.
Automatic & Numbered
Whatever its caliber, a watch can charm. For us, however, the magic happens when its cogs come to life to give life to a complete mechanism. With a choice of a Miyota caliber 9019, the best Japanese answer to the great Swiss classics, this C-04 aims for both robustness and durability. And while the Côtes de Genève meet an essential criterion, it is its openworked golden weight visible from the case back that makes all the difference. In addition, each piece is individually numbered from 01 to 33.
Sophisticated & elegant
In watchmaking, every detail counts. It's an immutable rule that the great brands have understood well, and a guiding principle that we must follow. For this C-04 to be complete, it needed a frame worthy of the name. Thanks to its characteristic grained structure, the bullcalf leather is as attractive as it is durable. Gradually refined from the lugs to the tip and fitted with a black reverse, this strap has character. But it wouldn't be as successful without its curved clasp. Satin-finished, of course!
